Celebs shell out mega-bucks on their wedding cakes, just as they do in every aspect of their lives, but that doesn’t mean that your celebrity-inspired wedding cake has to come with a hefty price tag as well. Your local cake designer or baker can probably reporduce the look for a cost that’s well within your budget.

Donald Trump and Melania Knauss had an uber-elaborate five foot high, fifty pound (yes, you read right), seven-tiered orange and white wedding cake that had a whopping three thousand white icing roses on it. You may not want to get quite that lavish, but if a cake like this inspires you, why not adapt the idea so it suits you. Donald Trump does everything in a BIG way, as we all know. The idea can be modified so its a little more practical for us more common folk.

A five-tiered wedding cake took center stage at the weddin hip-hop artists Kalis and Nas. This celebrity wedding cake was covered in sugar roses and gilded in twenty-four karat gold. Talk about WOW factor!  The cake alone probably cost more than the average couple’s entire wedding!

Pop artist Toni Braxton’s wedding cake was absolutely stunning. This celebrity wedding cake featured four tiers designed to look like four Tiffany’s boxes. Tiffany, of course, is the century-old retailer who’s name is synonymous with luxury (the kind of luxury most of us will never afford!). The entire cake was done in Tiffany’s signature  robin’s-egg blue color. The company no doubt must appreciated the celebrity endorsement, but then again, they get them all the time!

Actors Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen can be counted among the more notorious celebrity divorce stories of recent years, but their wedding cake is still be talked about because its one of the easiest and most affordable wedding cakes to replicate. It was a multi flavored wedding cake featuring three layers: chocolate-fudge, banana-cream and white satin. Multi layered cakes of different flavors are actually a pretty popular trends right now, and they are a practical choice for wedding cakes too because if guests don’t like one flavor, they are quite likely to enjoy another. So there’s sure to be something for everyone – and you score points for being a very thoughtful and hospitable host as well.

Country music star Leanne Rimes had a five foot, multi tiered, white chocolate and strawberry wedding cake (YUM!) decorated with over thirty five dozen roses. Wow, that almost trumps the Trumps.  This wedding cake was much talked about. It wouldn’t be hard to replicate if you reduce its size, of course, and go with far fewer roses.

Celebrity  Carmen Electra had a four-tiered wedding cake that featured 3 flavors (one of the flavors was repeated for the top layer, but we don’t know which): Oreo cheesecake, chocolate cake, and strawberry shortcake. Does that not sound entirely delectable? This celebrity wedding cake was decorated with the same crystals that Carmen had on her wedding dress. Talk about GLAM!
